Cardiff Gate sits in the east-side retail cluster with the easier M4 J30 access, while Capital Retail Park is the west-side branch sharing the postcode with the active DFS Leckwith Road branch — a clean budget-tier comparison in a single car-park visit. Standard ScS layout, La-Z-Boy recliners up front, Endurance leathers in the middle, finance desk at the back. Tuesday and Wednesday midmornings get the calmest sales-floor conversations.

IKEA Cardiff at Ferry Road in Grangetown at CF11 0XR handles the budget anchor. John Lewis Cardiff sits in the city centre at CF10 2EL, and HSL Cardiff have a proper showroom at Unit 3, The Design Quarter on Ipswich Road off Colchester Avenue for the comfort-seating crowd. Llantrisant up the A4119 picks up DFS Llantrisant at Glamorgan Vale Retail Park — handy if you're coming in from the Valleys. Seager Retail Park at CF23 9AA houses Sofology Cardiff at Unit C. The price mix tells the honest story: seven budget showrooms, two mid, two mid-high — and crucially, zero high or luxury options. This is Wales's furniture-shopping centre, but the top end simply isn't here. If you want Neptune, BoConcept, or anything Italian, you're driving to Bristol or further. Practical reality: M4 J33 funnels you to Capital Park at Leckwith, J30 to Cardiff Gate — both are easy. Cardiff city-centre parking is paid but reasonable, and St David's car park serves John Lewis directly. Saturday Six Nations match days turn the city into a beautifully chaotic mess — schedule around them. Wales gets a fair offering at the budget and mid-tier end, but Cardiff's the only show in town for any serious selection.
