Swindon's retail-park sprawl is mercifully spread out, so unlike Hedge End or Croydon you can actually move between showrooms without losing the will to live. Full DFS range, finance on everything, the perpetual sale doing its perpetual thing. Saturday afternoons get busy with the M4 footfall; weekdays after the school run are workable.
