DFS Leicester at Everard Way, Fosse Park South, Enderby (LE19 1UT) is wedged into the county's sofa-shopping cathedral — Fosse Park is six showrooms in one car park, and DFS is right at the heart of it. Full range, perpetual sale, finance via every available broker. The advantage of Fosse is you can actually cross-compare DFS, Sofology, ScS, Oak Furnitureland, Nick Scali and Furniture Village in a morning. The disadvantage is the Saturday traffic, which is genuinely a contact sport. Weekday mornings beat the rush. Don't drive in via the M1/M69 junction at five — trust me.

Leicester's 9 sofa showrooms concentrate heavily around Fosse Park at Enderby on the south-western edge — one of the Midlands' best retail parks and the reason Leicester punches above its size for furniture shopping. DFS, Furniture Village, Nick Scali, Oak Furnitureland, ScS and Sofology all sit within the LE19 1UT postcode block, essentially turning Fosse Park South into a one-stop sofa supermarket. Park at Everard Way, walk between six showrooms in twenty minutes, and you've covered the bulk of what Leicester offers. Dunelm holds St George's Retail Park near the city centre at LE1 3YN, and John Lewis is properly central at the Highcross Shopping Centre on Causeway Lane. ScS also runs a Loughborough outpost on Derby Road at LE11 5AB — handy if you're coming from the north of the county. With 4 budget showrooms, 2 mid, 3 mid-to-high, the price coverage is decent without quite reaching luxury territory. What's notably missing: no Neptune, no Sofas & Stuff, no Italian brands.
