Stroud is the destination experience, Cheltenham is the convenient one. Both stock the full two-thousand-fabric, British-made, fifteen-year-warranty proposition. Woodchester Mill on a sunny Saturday is genuinely lovely; Portland Street is a useful midweek browse. Either beats another lap of Kingsditch Lane. Pair the Stroud trip with a wander round the town and you've got a proper Cotswold sofa-shopping morning sorted.
