Nick Scali is a newcomer to the UK, but not to furniture. The company was founded in Sydney in 1962 by Nick Scali and is a long-established, ASX-listed Australian furniture retailer. It entered Britain in 2024 by acquiring Anglia Home Furnishings — the group that traded as Fabb Furniture — with the deal completing on 9 May 2024, and has been progressively rebranding those former Fabb retail-park stores under the Nick Scali name.

The product proposition centres on designer-led leather and fabric sofas with an Italian-influenced look, and the after-sales terms are a genuine strong point: a lifetime frame guarantee against manufacturing defects, backed by two years on other components such as leathers, fabrics, finishes and recliner motion parts. Finance is available as 0% APR over 6 to 48 months on orders from £500, arranged in-store through V12 Retail Finance or Novuna. Two things to plan for: delivery is charged per seat with a minimum fee, so larger orders cost more to deliver; and the returns window is short — there's no change-of-mind return once you're past a very brief post-order window, so be sure before you sign.

Is Nick Scali good quality? Its Australian reviews are solid, and early UK feedback leans positive on leather, comfort and showroom experience — but the UK review base is thin and new, and the recurring criticisms mirror the rest of the sector: gaps between the display model and what's delivered, and made-to-order lead times that can stretch past three months.
